Active Support

We are a group of people who are or have been and want to be involved with Scouting and Guiding. Our remit is basically to be a service team although we do meet socially every month.

We usually meet the third Thursday of most months at the District HQ 5th Hoddesdon Scout and Guide HQ at around 8pm for a social evening and to entertain ourselves we have organised a program of events.

In the past we have assisted in events which have been organised by a group, the district, county etc, such as judging at Cubs sports day, Cubs/Scouts swimming galas, doing refreshments for annual St. George’s day parade and the annual district AGM plus many other events. Unfortunately due to Covid some of these older well established events have not started again. A few of the members also run the Scout shop at Burgess Hall, situated in 2nd Cheshunt HQ, Goffs Lane, Cheshunt where Scout uniform and Scout related items are sold.

Anyone can join this group subject to the normal Scout Association checks.
