East Herts District Scouts provides around 500 young people with the opportunities to develop skills for life – supported by around 200 valued volunteers, Trustee Boards and District Members as well as group occasional helpers.

Welcome to East Herts District Scouts

East Herts District Scouts provides over 500 young people with the opportunities to develop skills for life – supported by around 200 valued volunteers including leaders, members of Executive Committees and District Members as well as group occasional helpers.

The district was created in 1908 by Scouts from 1st Broxbourne, 1st Wormley and 1st Cheshunt.

Adult Volunteers

The Scouts award-winning training scheme for volunteers means that adults get as much from Scouts as young people.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
