GHOST HUNT 2024

On a damp Friday evening in October over 140 Beavers, Leaders and parents went on a ghost hunt. Due to the number going, to make parking easier we decided to meet at either Turnford HQ or Turnford Brook car park. It didn’t help that there was bad traffic which held everyone up but, when 3 Young Leaders from Broxbourne arrived at the car park they very quickly ran round hiding the ghost and direction signs.

When the young leaders returned 1 group set off from the car park and 4 others from Turnford HQ. Once we had all gone through the last group leaving the car park set off with Broxbourne Young Leaders bringing up the rear to collect the ghosts. Unfortunately, although we had painted the ghost shapes with fluorescent paint, they didn’t glow so made it hard to find them not like the Beavers who had all been given glow sticks to make it easier to spot them.

Rain didn’t stop everyone having fun and working out that the clues on the ghosts spelt out Ghost Hunt 2024.

Once we all arrived back at Turnford HQ everyone enjoyed hot drinks, hot dogs, crisps and sweets. A fun night was had by all and our thanks go to the Young Leaders from Broxbourne, all Leaders and the group of helpers from Turnford who made sure we all had hot food when we got back.
